RAVA PAYASAM...


It's a simple and easy quick payasam.. It can be done on auspicious days for God... A good desert after a heavy meal.. Or a surprise for sudden guests...



Ingredients 

  • Rava (white Sooji) -4/5 tbsp
  • Milk/Toned -1/2 Ltr
  • Water
  • Sugar-10-12tbsp(as much as required )
  • Cardamom - 4/5
  • Cashew nuts -few
  • Raisins (dried grapes) -few
  • Ghee - 2/3 tbsp

 Preparation method

  •  Keep a big pan and start boiling milk into it. 
  • Add 200ml of water.
  • Once when it starts to boil add Rava into that and mix well. 
  • Let the milk and Rava blend well, keep the stove to simmer for about 10 mins.
  • Add sugar 
  • Add cardamom; roughly crushed .
  • Now in other small pan roast cashews and raisins in ghee and once it has turned brown remove and keep aside. 
  • After the payasam gets ready finally add fried cashews and raisins and mix it well...

Now our delicious Rava payasam is ready to serve.... 

Tips:

  • Serve hot.. If it cools then it gets thicker..
  • You can reduce sugar and add milk-maid also..
  • Saffron for decoration ..finally while serving garnish at top of  payasam..
